7 time Tour de France winner, Lance knows the effects of extreme impact on his body. In his book, Every Second Counts, Lance was quoted saying, "The team wasn't just riders. It was mechanics, masseurs, chefs, seigneurs, and doctors. But the most important man on the team may have been the chiropractor." Lance also stated, "I could not have won without my Chiropractor's help".
John Stockton
Most in Utah are familiar with John and
his amazing accomplishments. What
they may not be familiar with is to what
he attributes his longevity. John played
19 seasons in the NBA and only missed
22 games out of 1,526 regular season
games. 18 of those in one season.
In 2002 a Toronto sports writer asked
John what was the secret to his
continued success into his 40's.
John replied, "A good chiropractor".
When asked to elaborate,
John remarked, "I am not a good enough expert on what that (chiropractic) entails.....it's been great for me, and for my family".
Tiger Woods
The greatest golfer in this era, if not ever, Tiger has been a long time patient of chiropractic care. Tiger has made some amazing statements about chiropractic that would be hard to believe if not heard straight from his mouth. He said, "I've been going to a chiropractor for as long as I can remember. It is as important to my training as is the practice of my swing." Tiger Woods rode on a chiropractic float in the 1995 Rose Bowl Parade.
Barry Bonds
Barry in his famous polite and humble way required that there was a personal chiropractor available to him at every home and away game. Earlier in his career he stated, "I go to my chiropractor on a regular basis because I want to prolong my career as long as possible".
Joe Montana & Jerry Rice
Perhaps the greatest quarterback/wide
receiver duo ever to play football, they were
also united in their opinions of chiropractic.
Joe Montana: "Chiropractic has been a big
part of my game.... Chiropractic works for
me." Joe Montana recently agreed to be the
spokesperson of chiropractic for the state
of California.
Jerry Rice, one of the game's most durable
players, a 13-time Pro Bowl football player
who owns 38 career records and three
Super Bowl rings, shares his positive
experiences with chiropractic care. "I am
proud to communicate with the American public about the value of chiropractic care. Professional football is a very rough and vigorous sport, and I attribute my longevity and durability to a vigorous exercise program and chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractic gave me the edge to succeed, not only on the gridiron but also on the dance floor. I did a lot of things to stay in the game, but regular visits to my chiropractor were among the most important. It works better for me then anything else." He continues to rely upon chiropractic adjustments to keep himself healthy and active.
Dan O'Brien
Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist, "You obviously can't compete at your fullest if you're not in alignment. And your body can't heal if your back is not in alignment. It was the holistic idea that I liked about chiropractic and that is what track and field is about. Every track and field athlete that I have ever met has seen a chiropractor at one time or another. In track and field, it is absolutely essential.
Chiropractic care is one of the things I think that no one has denied or refuted. If not for chiropractic, I would not have won the gold
medal! You obviously can't compete at your fullest if you are not in alignment. It is essential to me in my training routine. I really think chiropractic is essential in running."
Arnold Schwarzenegger
No quote list would be complete without Arnold
and his amusing use of the English language.
Here is what the governor has to say,
"You chiropractic doctors are really miracle
workers. What you do is really powerful.
I found the best way of going, is to use
chiropractors, not only after injury, but also
before injury. There is really no better profession
than chiropractic. You really helped me….
I depend on chiropractic and so does my whole family.
I found it was better to go to the chiropractor before
you get injured. Chiropractic is truly one of the few professions that really helps people in a straightforward way with no monkey business, like some of the other professions promise to help, but this chiropractic is the real thing."
Evander Holyfield
One of the greatest boxers of all time, Holyfield remarks, "I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring. The majority of boxers go to get that edge." What aspects in life are we in need of an edge?
Derek Parra
2002 Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder, men's 1500 meters "I probably wouldn't even be here now if it weren't for chiropractic."
Emmitt Smith
Emmitt holds the record for the most
rushing yards ever. While getting tackled
in the NFL has physically been shown to
be equivalent to getting in a car wreck,
Emmitt was told that even a ferrari has to
get its tires aligned. Emmitt started
seeing a chiropractor, and even had the
chiropractor move his clinic closer to their
practice facility. Emmitt credits
chiropractic for his rushing record.
He said, "Some of it may seem hokey to
some people. But if you traveled where
I've traveled, done what I've done, and
seen the results that I've been getting, then you'd understand where I am coming from."
